The present research which tried to see if your application could help improve the properties of concrete used in construction common as buildings, houses and other; and the main objective, justify the application of this material as a natural additive. In the market of construction materials which improve the properties of concrete, as in the case of calcined diatomite seafood, which is an additive that improves certain properties of concrete, but by its very high cost its use is restricted, example only large projects, however a similar alternative to using calcined diatomite that could be the application of a natural pozzolan lacustrine without calcination such as diatomite Urcos's Gulch, which for its low cost and easy access would optimize the cost of construction. At present it is not using natural pozzolanic additives silicic as diatomite, to improve some physical properties of concrete, which has been raised using diatomite's Gulch Canchauran to improve concrete strength and verify consistency, all this according to the results obtained in laboratory tests. According to the results obtained in the tests was evident that there is a minimal increase in resistance to axial compression of concrete with an optimal formulation of 25% natural siliceous diatomite Canchauran, in his capacity as additive, also the mixture, filed a plastic consistency, this particular phase in its fresh, all under aspects of research and reaching objectives and achieved the study of this thesis; but if we consider the application of siliceous diatomite Canchauran based on the physicochemical analysis was concluded that the diatomite lacustrine's Gulch Canchauran district of Urcos province Quispicanchi is not applicable material concrete and additive in their natural state due to the high content of calcium in their composition, and this is evidenced by the low resistance as I can.
