Background: Pregnancy represents several changes in a woman's life. The World Health Organization believes that maternal care is a priority, so prenatal controls are important. In our country, there is a considerable percentage of pregnant women who do not attend their medical appointments, increasing the possibility of occurrence of complications, increasing the risk of maternal-neonatal morbidity and mortality. Methods: Cross-sectional analytical study, the sample was calculated with the pertinent study formula, based in inclusion and exclusion criteries. We used the information gotten from the analysis of the survey valuated with pregnant women in their last term. The process and information analysis were realized with de information system Windows, SPSS 22; using the stadistic way such as, Odds Ratio (OR), the chi square (x 2 ), probe Tau b der Kendall and T student, for the respective variable Results: From 65 pregnant women, 38% don´t fellow the pregnancy controls. In the univariable analysis, the variable associated were precedence (p = 0.032) and the marital status (p = 0.047), in the bivariable analysis, the variables were associated that not all of the pregnant women completed the controls or went to thru medical dates (OR = 6, p = 0.001) and wanted so long to have one date. Conclusions: the difficulty to get the medical date was because of the institutional factor which affect to the pregnant women controls at the end of the period pregnancy period.
