This research was carried out with the purpose of knowing the relationship between Ergonomic Risks and the Academic performance of university students who take the first semesters in general courses of the Global University of Cusco in 2018. How this research was approached was proposed a correlational scope with a non-experimental and transversal design, in addition to that it has a quantitative approach. To obtain this information, the ergonomic risks to which students are exposed were evaluated, which were classified in three dimensions: Ergonomic Risks related to Musculoskeletal Disorders, Ergonomic Risks related to Data Display Screens and Ergonomic Risks related to the Design of Environments study. Which were evaluated with the methods; LCE, LEST, REBA and the application of a questionnaire based on the INSHT guide to know the perception of the students regarding the ergonomic risks mentioned. Regarding the classification of the academic performance of the students, information was taken from the Universal Global del Cusco, finally the Chi-square statistical analysis was applied to test the correlation between the variables. With the statistical analysis, it was observed that there is a relationship between the ergonomic risks associated with musculoskeletal disorders and the academic performance of the students, however, when the analysis was carried out with the other dimensions, they discarded the alternative hypotheses as well as the general hypothesis. This led to the general conclusion that there is no relationship between the Ergonomic Risks and the Academic Performance of the students of the Global University of Cusco in 2018. However, because one of the dimensions was related to performance academic study, it is suggested to study in greater depth the relationship of Musculoskeletal Disorders with Academic Performance, so this study is an essential contribution to cement the bases that help to apply other methods of analysis of Ergonomic Risks with the Academic Performance of students in general.
