Abstract: El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como propósito determinar el riesgo sísmico en las
edificaciones de la Universidad Andina del Cusco – Sede Qollana, por métodos cualitativos,
los cuales son primordiales para direccionar las acciones o los posteriores estudios en las
edificaciones. El método utilizado para la determinación de la vulnerabilidad sísmica fue el
método de Hirosawa y para el peligro sísmico, el método propuesto por Mosqueira y Tarque.
Para realizar esta investigación, primero se tuvo que obtener la información necesaria, tales
como planos de estructuras y arquitectura de cada edificación. Luego, se actualizaron los planos
con respecto a la realidad y se organizaron los datos necesarios para cada método. Finalmente,
se aplicó el método de vulnerabilidad por cada bloque y nivel, teniendo un resultado detallado
por edificación, y el método de peligrosidad se aplicó para toda la zona de estudio. Se realizó
el estudio en las seis edificaciones que comprenden el campus universitario, y al término de la
investigación se llegó a la conclusión que el grado riesgo sísmico en: Aulas es alto, Laboratorios
es alto, Biblioteca es medio, Administración es alto, Clínica Estomatológica es medio y Clínica
de Salud es medio. Donde, un riesgo sísmico alto significa que la edificación sufrirá daños
importantes ante un sismo severo ya que no tiene un adecuado comportamiento sísmico y un
riesgo sísmico medio significa que la edificación tiene aceptable comportamiento sísmico pero
los pórticos y muros de la edificación podrían sufrir daños menores y algunos parapetos podrían
colapsar parcial o totalmente.
The purpose of this research work was to determine the seismic risk in the buildings of the Andean University of Cusco - Qollana Headquarters, by qualitative methods, which are essential to direct the actions or the subsequent studies in the buildings. The method used for the determination of seismic vulnerability was the Hirosawa method and for the seismic hazard, the method proposed by Mosqueira and Tarque. In order to carry out this research, it was first necessary to obtain the necessary information, such as plans of structures and architecture of each building, then the plans were updated with respect to reality and the necessary data for each method were organized. Finally, the vulnerability method was applied for each block and level, with a detailed result per building, and the hazard method was applied for the entire study area. The study was carried out in the six buildings that comprise the university campus, and at the end of the investigation it was concluded that the degree of seismic risk in: Classrooms is high, Laboratories is high, Library is medium, Administration is high, Stomatological Clinic it is medium, and Health Clinic is medium. Where, a high seismic risk means that the building will suffer significant damage before a severe earthquake because it does not have an adequate seismic behavior and a medium seismic risk means that the building has acceptable seismic behavior but the porticos and walls of the building could suffer minor damages and some parapets could collapse partially or totally.
