The present investigation titled "Proposal to improve the hydraulic cylinder repair process to improve productivity in the HCT company in the city of Cajamarca". Its general objective is to determine to what extent the proposal to improve the hydraulic cylinder repair process impacts on the improvement of productivity, this improvement must be continuous to carry out the improvement process in the company and in this way obtain the expected results. Through the techniques of the documentary review and interview, it was possible to diagnose the current situation of productivity, having the Process Analysis Diagram (DAP) to determine the work cycle times, also counting on Ishikawa and Pareto as classification tools and diagnosis of causes that generate the greatest number of effects, productivity was identified and analyzed through the proper use of engineering formulas. The implementation of the 5s methodology will allow to improve productivity in the repair of hydraulic cylinders, obtaining as main results an improvement in the work cycle time from 6.83 hours to 3.18 hours, optimizing the workforce from 05 operators to 03 operators, reflected in the increase from 48% to 99% of service level efficiency in the repair of hydraulic cylinders during 2020.
