Today, there is a growing trend for the consumption of natural and nutritious foods, which contribute to a healthy diet and life. In the case of asparagus, there is an increase in its demand worldwide and in Peruvian exports in the past 5 years. Peru is positioned as the second asparagus producing country. The implementation of a production plant for fresh and refrigerated asparagus will be evaluated for its subsequent export to the Spanish market. First, general aspects of the research will be determined, defining the problems, the general and specific objectives, the scope, technical, social and economic justification, hypotheses, frame of reference and conceptual framework of the analysis. Subsequently, a market study will be carried out to obtain accurate information on the commercial environment, marketing standards, main competitors, market prices, sector analysis, customer segmentation, and mainly in order to define project demand. Likewise, a macro and micro location evaluation will be shown to determine the optimal location of the plant. On the other hand, the optimal size of plant and machinery needed for the production process will be determined. Economic, financial and social analyses will be carried out to evaluate the viability of the project. Finally, conclusions and recommendations will be presented to serve as a basis for future research.
