The present research is based on analyzing the hydrological and geomorphological characteristics presented by the Santa River basin through the Superficial Water Balance of the Santa River Basin. To do this, we worked with the hydrological data bases of different entities that make the updated information of the basins public knowledge in order to carry out the corresponding calculations and obtain the runoff value, which is the data that will facilitate us to know the water supply of the basin under study following the methodology available to date. The purpose of this study is to determine the availability of the main element, the existing water resource in the basin in quantity parameters for population purposes and irrigation, establishing information on its hydrological cycle (rainfall, evaporation, transpiration, runoff) and thus calculate volumes average for the Chavimochic and Chinecas Projects. To achieve the proposed objectives, the study of the main aspects was carried out to calculate the balance based on parameters of the hydrological cycle of the basin, taking into account its water capacity. The research concludes that through the presented Balance, a tool or indicator for the adequate management and planning of water resources promoting the development of knowledge about details and / or characteristics of water science, which will lead to obtaining clear data and easy management. on the exposure of the Río Santa basin; Likewise, these results will create a culture of protection of the resource that will serve as the basis for its availability in future and current projects such as the Chavimochic or Chinecas Project. The need for responses to a problem such as this and the fulfillment of the delimited objectives directs us to use the deterministic hydrological model since in it we analyze simulated environments and simplify given phenomena within the cycle with which, finally, conclusions and recommendations are obtained according to all the research carried out.
