The present investigation has objective of this research is to design the structural proposal of the wetland system, to optimize the acidic water treatment of the mine closure process of the Anabi S.A.C. in the district of Quiñota department of Cusco, 2019. Currently the Unidad Minera Anabí S.A.C located in the Quiñota district, Chumbivilca province, Cusco department, is in a state of final closure, so it seeks to implement a wetland system for the treatment of acidic water. The research method used is of a descriptive type of non-experimental design - cross-sectional. The population is constituted by the Unidad Minera Anabi S.A.C in the district of Quiñota - Cusco and the sample is constituted by the Huisamarca Open Pit area. In conclusion, the design proposed for the wetland system consists of a sand trap I with a storage capacity of 4,016.23 m3, a sand trap II with a storage capacity of 5,138.94 m3 and also presents a wetland with an effective volume of 9,504.00 m3 apart from an area of useful surface of 13,771.21 m2 that influence in the suppression of acidity and elimination of metals as part of the treatment of acidic waters. Obtaining in a theoretical way the removal percentage of 57.8% for the suppression of acidity and 82.7%, 75.3% for the elimination of metals (Fe and Mn) are obtained by means of the average between the results presented by mining companies according to the experience in the treatment of acidic waters.
