The media’s role is informing the different events that happen every day, both inside and outside the country; By their nature, these institutions have the innate quality of credibility, so it is important to analyze how they inform society and what are the approaches it proposes, which the framing theory calls "frames". In December 2014, the Peruvian government promulgated the "Pulpín law", which reduced labor benefits for young people. The issue was controversial and subject to much criticism, as well as mobilizations, finally the social pressure prompted the law to be repealed at the end of January 2015. The purpose of the quantitative approach study was to determine the journalistic treatment, from the perspective of the frame, in the printed content of the newspaper El Comercio, regarding the “Pulpín Law”, according to the typology: generic frames and key event. 122 news items were analyzed. The results were coincident with previous studies to other social events. The predominant frames were: Conflict (28.7%) followed by Morality (19.7%) and Human Interest (18%). According to the percentages of the priority indicators and scheme, the theme of the “Pulpín Law” was determined without a key event.
