This research aims to describe the prevalence of autonomous learning strategies (enlargement, collaboration, conceptualization, planning, preparation for exams and participation), in cadets-aspirants of the National Merchant Marine Academy "Almirante Miguel Grau", Callao-Peru, 2017. The level of the research is descriptive, transversal, done on field-level and non-experimental. For the operationalization of the variable, we have based on the questionnaire of strategies of autonomous work (CETA), designed by Mercedes Lopez Aguado, of the University of Leon (Spain), 2010 and that presents adequate indices of reliability and validity of its construct. The questionnaire consists of 45 questions and participated in this research work 72 cadets-aspirants, who begin their training in what will be their future as a professional sea. To describe the 45 activities of CETA, we use the pastel graphics and associate the colors of the traffic light to the scales of Likert, for a quick identification of the percentages reached. Then, the summaries of each strategy are shown in two levels: developed (summation of the scales many times and always and participate 60% or more of the population of cadets-applicants) and in development (summation of the scales never, seldom and sometimes, the rest of percentage to achieve 100% of the population of the Cadets-aspirants). In radial graphs and through two polygons, a green color with continuous lines (developed level) and a red one with discontinuous lines (level in development), we show the percentages achieved at each vertex of the polygons. Finally, in another radio graph we show the summary of the summaries of the six strategies. The conclusions specify that the cadet-aspirants have strategies of enlargement and preparation for the exams in developed level and strategies of collaboration, conceptualization, planning and participation in the level developing. Therefore, it is recommended to promote in the cadets-applicants the accomplishment of complementary activities in accordance with the mentioned in the CETA questionnaire so that all the strategies reach the 100% of development. In addition, it is recommended that ENAMM and other merchant Marine officer training Centers promote self-learning in their students, preparing them for permanent decision-making to face their work at sea safely, Protecting the environment and property.
