For decades, suggestive and sexualized images have saturated the fashion industry's campaigns. While design companies compose to produce striking advertising content, fashion photographers and their main diffuser, fashion magazines, benefit from the sex sells premise to market their copies. The level of eroticism in fashion images has fluctuated in recent years, coinciding with developments in society's perceptions of sex, gender and eroticism. The objective of this study is to determine how Vogue Latin America magazine has used the practice of fetishism to sell its volumes. To this end, the research question is as follows: How has fetishism been used in fashion photography within Vogue Latin America magazine in the last two years? In this context, the objective is to explain the importance of fetish photographs for the fashion industry and for fashion magazines. The research question is answered through the documentary analysis of fetish photographs displayed on the pages of Vogue Latin America magazine, as well as interviews with editors and collaborators of various fashion magazines about fetish photography and its impact on this medium. The responses received that show the trend of sexual discovery, new gender roles and a more open-minded mentality have led to the opinions of sexualized images and fetishistic conclusions.
