The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between the emotional intelligence of the collaborators and the satisfaction of the client who acquires the services of the Restaurant Salas de Cajamarca - 2018, for which a methodology of quantitative research type with a non-experimental, correlational research design was used cross. The population of this research was the 40 employees of the “Restaurant Salas". For the collection of information, two valid and reliable instruments were used to measure emotional intelligence and customer satisfaction. The results show that 55% of employees consider having developed emotional intelligence and being satisfied with the service provided to the external customer of the restaurant and 20% feel very satisfied as well as being considered with social-emotional skills. And only the 25% that considers to have emotional intelligence considers to be neither very satisfied nor very dissatisfied with the attention given to the clients, also we have a correlation between the variables emotional intelligence and satisfaction of the client in the “Restaurant Salas" is 0.094, it is say a very weak positive correlation, these results in turn can not be generalized. It is recommended to encourage the business associations to extend the emotional intelligence development workshops to the collaborators of the other companies, with a view to encouraging the involvement of the staff in the good organizational march.
