In the different crops grown under conditions of soils developed under coastal conditions, the accumulation of dust on the leaves is being observed, for this reason we are trying to find methodologies to quantify this variable. It is based on this problem that the present experimental work is proposed, which was carried out in the company Inversiones Agrícola Olmos SAC during the month of July 2018 and in the company Sociedad Agrícola Chapi during the month of October 2020 with the objective to quantify the amount of sedimentable dust present in Persea americana lots from said farms and to determine the effect of factors such as the distance of the plant from the road, third of the crown and vegetative flows. A total of 2,160 sheets were extracted per batch that were taken to the cabinet to determine the amount of dust on said sheets by weight difference between the weight of the powdered sheets and the weight of the clean sheets. In parallel, an estimate of the number of tree leaves in each batch was made to determine the approximate amount of dust that a crown can hold. Regarding the distance of the road, the trees closest to the road presented a greater accumulation of dust on the leaves. Regarding the third of the crown, those shoots corresponding to the lower third presented a greater accumulation of dust on the leaves. Regarding the vegetative flow, those older shoots showed a greater accumulation of dust on the leaves. Finally, after estimating the leaves, it was possible to estimate that the Persea americana var. 3-year-old “Hass” captured 743.48 g of dust in total. On the other hand, the plants of Persea americana var. 15-year-old "Hass" captured 4490.43 g of dust in total. The conclusions allow to indicate that there are significant amounts of dust that affect the efficiency of agrochemicals and the photosynthetic rate of the plant that should be quantified in future studies.
