The loss by the attack of pests in stored grain is large worldwide. Sitophilus zeamais Motsch being one of the most destructive pests in stored grain, due to its high biotic potential is considered one of the most destructive pests. Spinosad is an insecticide derived from bacteria, which has a different mode of action, and the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States recorded the Spinosad as a protector of stored grain, while in Peru still has not been registered. That is why this paper proposes the adoption of Spinosad in stores, so the answer to the insecticide in control of Sitophilus zeamais in stored grain Motsch was evaluated. To this insecticide broth was prepared at concentrations of 0.1 allow the reservoir; 0.5; 1.0; 2.0 and 4.0 ppm of Spinosad, in corn and wheat. Was evaluated insect mortality and residual action of the insecticide in corn and wheat.
