Currently, the pristine tropical forests of the central region of the Yungas of Peru are disappearing, becoming agricultural, livestock or secondary forests areas; However, the documentation of the fauna, with special emphasis on bats, associated to new environments generated by anthropic activity is limited. For this reason, in this research the diversity and seasonal distribution of the bats assemblages that inhabited the secondary forest of the IRD-Fundo Santa Teresa during the dry season of 2013 and 2014 and the wet season of 2015 was determined. Forest assessment was divided into eight sectors, with two to five nights in each for six hours per night, by means of a directed sampling with a variable number of fog networks per sector, accumulating 15552 m * h of sampling effort for all the evaluation, with 7776 m * h sampled for each climate station. A total of 286 bats belonging to 27 species were captured, 18 in the dry season and 19 in the humid, grouped in the following families: Phyllostomidae and Vespertilionidae; Carollia perspicillata, C. brevicauda, C. benkeithi, Artibeus planirostris, S. lilium and S. tildae were the most abundant species. The community of these Chiroptera was strongly dominated by the three species of the genus Carollia. Alpha diversity estimates indicate that these forests harbor a moderately high diversity of Chiroptera (H´=3.0268 bit/individual, Ds=0.8086, HB=1.971), however, it is the lowest compared to the nearby locations previously evaluated. Considering that only 10 species were recorded in both climatic seasons, Beta diversity estimates found a low rate of species turnover (βw=0.4595, βc=8.5, βl=0.1382, β-2=0.4211). There were five trophic guilds in total present in the forest, five in the dry season and only one in the humid season, being frugivorous collectors of very dense spaces the most abundant in both seasons. Likewise, all the guilds showed variation in their spatial distribution in both climatic seasons. Although this secondary forest has a moderately high diversity of bats, it is one of the least diverse in comparison with other nearby locations, which may be due to the anthropic pressure to which it is subjected.
