The objective of this systematic review is to determine the relationship between inventory management and profitability in Latin American PYME’s described in the scientific literature in the last 10 years, in this research 32 articles were analyzed, which were selected from sources such as: EBSCO , PROQUEST, Scielo, Redalyc, Dialnet and ResearchGate; taking as reference a seniority not greater than 10 years. The keywords were: Inventory management, PYME’s, Profitability; In order to define the search, also as exclusion criteria, service organizations were not considered, only those dedicated to the commercial sector, as well as those that were years prior to 2009. As inclusion criteria, it was provided that they had common inventory methods , in order to determine which or which are the most employed at the level of the countries mentioned in the previous paragraph. Investigations carried out in SME organizations and, if any, that apply the guidelines of NIC 2: Inventories, in relation to profitability. In general, the majority of the articles reviewed were from foreign sources, Colombia being the country where there were major incidents with the subject under investigation, as well as almost all the information collected was of a qualitative approach.
