ABSTRACT This research has the general objective to propose the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), in the Maintenance Management to increase operational availability of earthmoving equipment in the Multiservice Punre SRL company. The project, despite the limitations, was developed with information obtained by the Multiservicios Punre SRL company, for tthe period 2012 and 2013, which served as essential to make a diagnosis base. It began with the diagnosis of the current situation of the company and its maintenance management to meet the shortcomings of its processes in maintenance management. Processes were determined in maintenance management, identifying information bottlenecks that cause the decrease in the availability of equipment in contracted project. We found weaknesses in the management of information so that did not reach the responsible decision-making, causing the equipment availability be less than 85%, this results in the recovery lost for the hours of non-available equipment, these losses in 2012 were in the range of US $ 140 000. To identify problems in maintenance management that affect the availability of equipment earthworks an analysis of the procedure was performed and was plotted with the tool of cause and effect, which gave us a complete picture of the problem.
