-- To determine nontransmissible the chronic diseases more prevalentes in the Greater Adult with necessity of complete prótesis that they go to the Faculty of Odontolgy of the UNMSM between years 2006 - 2008. Descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective study in 165 clinical histories of greater adults with necessity of Total Dental Prótesis in the clinic of the Faculty of Odontolgy of the UNMSM, between years 2006 - 2007. The instrument of main study was the Card of Data validated. The age global average was of 73,3 ± 5,5 years with ends between 60-93 years, where the greater proportion of greater adults had 70 to 79 years (42,40%). Significant predominance of the femenine existed, in a relation of 2,58/1 (p=0.03). The prevalentes ECNT were the DM, HTA, Asthma and ECV, that altogether represented 89 cases (53,85%), being more frequent the HTA presence (37%). The prevalence of nontransmissible chronic diseases was of 53,95% on 165 greater adults with necessity of total prótesis, between years 2006 to the 2008, in the Clinic of the Faculty of Odontolgy of the UNMSM. The prevalence of greater adults with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) was of 11,30%, most frequently in women (9.109). The prevalence of greater adults with arterial hypertension was of 37%; most frequently in women (31,50%). The prevalence of greater adults with bronchial Asthma was of 5,45%; most frequently in women (4,25%). The prevalence of greater adults with Enfermedad Cerebrovascular (ECV) was of 1,20%; both cases in women (1,20%).
