The present investigation titled: Relationship among the Handling of the Factors of Risk Related to the Presence of Phlebitis in Hospitalized Patients in the Service of Medicine 1l of the Hospital National Arzobispo Loayza, has as general objective, to establish the relationship among the handling of the factors of risk with the phlebitis presence and as specific objectives, to identify the presence of phlebitis related technical wing of asepsis during the venopunción, to identify the phlebitis presence related to the venopunción technique. The design methodological elect was: descriptive, applicative, traverse you had 30 patients and the entirety of the assistance nurses of the service for the study it felt convenient the use of two checkup lists, the first one you applies the infirmary graduates during the procedure of the venopunción and the second you applies the patient s for the identification of the phlebitis signs. The conclusions to those that you arrived were: Relationship exists between the laundry of hands and the footwear of gloves with the phlebitis presence because in the patients in which the nurse carried out this techniques of asepsis didn't present phlebitis and in but of 50% of patient in which she didn't carry out the laundry of hands neither the footwear of gloves these they developed phlebitis. It also shows us that although it is certain the nurse he/she carried out the asepsis of the insert point in 97% of patient, 47% of these developed phlebitis, that which would take us to look for other related factors that could have produced it or he/she is necessary to think that the technique used in the asepsis of the area was not the appropriate one. We cannot deny that a relationship exists since among the asepsis of the insert point with the phlebitis presence in the only patient where the nurse didn't carry out the asepsis of the insert area he presented phlebitis signs. It exist a relationship since among the maintenance of the asepsis of the insert point with the phlebitis presence of 63%, 50% of patients presented phlebitis then that the nurse felt the insert point after having carried out the corresponding asepsis again. Relationship exists among the preparation of the material and of the necessary team for the venopunción with the phlebitis presence already of 23%, 20% of patient where the nurse doesn't prepare the material and the team appropriately for the catheterization they presented phlebitis. It is important to stand out that in 77% of patient where the nurse carries out the preparation of the material and of the team for the venopunción in an appropriate way, 30% of these they presented phlebitis, what would take us to look for other factors that can have produced it. The obtained results show us that although it is certain that the nurse selected in an appropriate way the place of insert of the catheter in 97% of patient, 47% of these developed phlebitis, that which would take us to look for other related factors that could have produced it. We cannot refuse that a relationship exists since among the selection of the insert place with the phlebitis presence in the only patient in which the nurse didn't select the insert point appropriately you/he/she presented phlebitis signs. The punciones number carried out repeatedly with the same catheter this in direct relationship with the phlebitis presence since of 47%, 40% of patient where the nurse carried out two punciones for the insert of the catheter they presented inflammation of the vein.
