-- Objective: To determine the perception of the Nursing Personnel on the participation of the accompanying relative in the care of the boy in the Medicine Services of IESN - 2006. Materials and Method: Applicative level study, quantitative typo and descriptive method, of cross section, that evaluated 40 Nurses, personnel who work in the hospitalization services of Specialized Institute of Health of the Boy, who were assessed with a previous valid task to evaluated validated which also was submitted by experts judgment and applied test pilot, previous consent assent. The results were drained in a data base (Excel) and using software SPSS. Result: Of a whole of 40(100 %) nurses, 10 (25 %) Favorable, 20 (50%) have a Moderately favorable Perception, 10 (25%) Unfavorably. Conclusions: The perception that has the personnel of nursing on the participation of the relative in the care of the child in the Services of Medicine is moderately favorable 50 %, since the favorable and unfavorable perception they occupy 50 % what reverberates in the quality of the care that the accompanying relative provide to the child, between the possible factors that would be limiting a suitable care will be the emotional crisis for which they are crossing and small orientation that they have in relation with the care of the child.
