The ecophysiological response of three varieties of coffee ("Caturra", "Pache" and “Catimor“) is evaluated on four altitudinal levels (1000, 1100, 1200 and 1300 masl). Meteorological and morphological variables, as well as incidence and severity of “Roya" were recorded. In the experimental phase, meteorological and morphological measurements were registered and they were processed in the office. The statistical design consisted in the application of an experiment using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with bi-factorial arrangement (4A*3B) with interaction of 3 blocks and 12 treatments. The data were analyzed with SPSS and InfoStat software. The meteorological parameters, temperature and relative humidity presented homogeneous and stable distributions in all the altitudinal levels, the precipitation presented heterogeneous distribution; the results of the statistical design, demostrate that the variety "Caturra" at the level of 1100 masl, the variety "Pache" at the level of 1000 masl and the variety "Catimor" at the level of 1300 masl, had the best morphological responses. Regardless of the varieties, it was determined that at the level of 1100 masl then at the level of 1000 masl the "Coffee". registered better morphological responses. Based on these results, it is concluded that the adequate levels for the cultivation of "Coffee" are 1000 and 1100 meters above sea level, considering the morphological aspects, number of leaves and branches, discriminating the height.
