The following investigation titled as: "Methodology of soft systems to assess the impact of University Social Responsibility of the National University of San Martín - Tarapoto in the San Martín region", developed in 2015, aims to evaluate the impact of University Social Responsibility of the National University of San Martín - Tarapoto. Its type research is Applied with Transversal design because it allows us to investigate the incidence and the values in which one or more variables are manifested and the results obtained are applied for the resolution of the problematic raised which generates new knowledge. A pretest and posttest was elaborated and applied to a sample of 4 team member of the University Social Responsibility Office of the UNSM-T, their opinions allow to know the assessment of the evaluation of the current situation before and after the Soft Systems Methodology were used to understand and solve some situations, needs or problems given in specific context. In the development of this methodology 344 community members of the UNSM-T were surveyed as a sample: 77 teachers between appointed and hired, 52 teacher researchers, 24 teachers members of Social Responsibility commissions of the faculties, 81 administrative and 120 students with more than 5 semesters of the different study programs. The result of this work provides solution proposals or improvement plans for the impact assessment of university social responsibility of the UNSM-T with the application of the Soft Systems Methodology.
