The dumping of wastewater without pre-treatment to the environment is A common panorama returns in our country. For this reason the water treatment Residual is becoming more and more important not only with the purpose of reducing the load Contaminant of the waters, if not the use of new technologies that do not allow Obtain sub-products of water purification processes that are Economically profitable, generating a new perspective that, through the Integral treatment of wastewater is possible to generate income. The present work approaches the study on the integral treatment of the waters Industrial waste from the municipal slaughterhouse of the city of Moyobamba, through Use of a pilot-scale UASB type bioreactor, which was designed, built and Start-up The bioreactor was designed based on an organic demand load Oxygen Chemistry (COD) of 5,000mgO2 / L, with a Hydraulic Retention Time (TRH) of 0.8 Days. It seeks to provide a comprehensive treatment of wastewater The stabilization of organic matter, generating Biol and Biosol, as well as Biogas the Which becomes renewable energy of exploitation. The UASB start-up lasted for 48 days, for the inoculation of the Bioreactor rumen obtained from the stomach of slaughtered cattle was used, with A concentration of 1: 5 rumen-residual water, adding 10 g of bread yeast per Each liter of inoculum; 14 liters of inoculum were produced, which corresponds to 25% of Total volume of the Bioreactor. The startup time lasted 48 days, During this time the values of pH and temperature were monitored, a Average temperature of 29.9 ° C and a pH close to neutral with an average value 6.97. The monitoring period of the UASB was 90 days, during which time Monitoring the behavior of temperature and pH, recording an average value of 29.7 ° C and 6.50 correspondingly. Three samples were taken every 30 days, where They recorded the% removal of the organic matter. The results in the removal of BOD5 is 73.91% and COD is 75.98%. Key Words: UASB, wastewater, BOD5, COD, Biosol, Biogas and Biol.
