This research paper entitled spread of coffee (Coffea arabica L.) by the rooting of shoots using five doses of indole butyric acid and tour substrates, in controlled environments, was raised to define the optima! dose of indole - 3 - butyric acid (AIS) and substrates in the rooting of cuttings of outbreaks of Coffea arabica L.; which consisted of selecting 240 volunteers cuttings from parent plants with high productivity rate. The statistical design used is a DCA, whose treatments are O, 2000, 4000, 8000, 10 000 ppm of indole - 3- butyric acid (AIS) without substrate, jiffy, carbonized rice husks and sand combined these make 20 treatments 3 repetitions, the cuttings remained 65 days in the tunnel with a frequency micro irrigation 2 times per day and evaluations consisted of measuring the percentage of survival, rooting percentage, number of roots, length of roots, callus length Sud and Sud diameter. The data were submitted to analysis of variance and Duncan test, the results indicate that the dose of 2000 ppm of AIS and jiffy substrate stood out among the other giving greater survival rate (100%), rooting percentage (93 %), which categorizes itas a very high rooting. Keywords: indole - 3 - butyric, controlled environments, cuttings of volunteers, dose, matrices plants.
