The present investigation consists in the implementation of the SMED methodology, in the company Coolants Beverages Group S.A, with the purpose of reducing the time in change of format in the filler model H & K VF 72/14, of the bottling line L-822. When the diagnosis was made, it was found that there is an elevated time in hours on the computer when making the format change In view of this problem, the implementation of the SMED methodology is proposed. This methodology has a strategy that will make possible the reduction in the times of the format change up to 42.22%, managing to reduce the time in change from 1.5 hours to 0.87 hours, reducing the number of activities from 22 to 20 items. With the implementation of this methodology, it will be possible to save 0.63 hours per change of format made in the filler, increasing the availability of the machine, which means that more production volume will be programmed in all formats. When implementing the SMED methodology in the months of July to December, a time of 84.7 hours was increased, producing 2,541,000 bottles, in total, according to the sale of the product according to the factory, of S / 1,524,600.00 new suns. Significantly increase the productivity of the filler in the months of July to December by an average of 97.47%, comparing with the productivity in the months of January to June before the implementation of the SMED by an average of 95.44%. Finally, it is concluded that this improvement will make us aware of the benefits of applying the SMED methodology in the company Coolants Beverages Group S.A. The most significant increase is the increase in productivity in the equipment, greater volume of production and flexibility in format changes, responding to the demand and demand of customers and consumers.
