This investigation proposes the stages for a commercial intelligence model to analyze and select veterinary´s surgical material suppliers that helps facilitate the search and selection of providers. The importers of surgical equipment from the city of Trujillo are dissatisfied with the providers they currently have and the system of gathering information is deficient about their potential suppliers. By having this system, their suppliers could improve in the criteria that each one thinks that is more importance. In Chapter I the formulation of the problem was made, which consists in: what stages should a business intelligence model consider for the selection of Chinese suppliers of veterinary surgical equipment. its limitations, justification and objectives that guide the research are established. In Chapter II the fundamental concepts to be applied in the following chapters are detailed through the theoretical framework. This one is constituted by antecedents, theoretical frame and basic terms, in addition the previous investigations are detailed, and the basic theoretical concepts of the subject. This part is developed to understand what commercial intelligence is and what the selection of suppliers consists. In Chapter III focuses on the formulation of the hypothesis, as a possible solution to the problem of research and the table of operationalization of variables. In Chapter IV, the methodological design of the research, the population and study sample, as well as the techniques and instruments for collecting and analyzing the data obtained. Chapter V contains the analysis, and the interpretation of the results of the measurement of indicators, corresponding to the study variables. In chapter VI we validate the hypothesis through the discussion of the results, taking as sustenance the results obtained in the realization of data collection techniques. In the last part of the investigation it contains the annexes, data collection instruments and consistency matrix. Finally, the research concludes that five stages are necessary for a commercial intelligence model for the selection of Chinese suppliers of veterinary surgical material from the city of Trujillo, which are: (1) planning, (2) requirements analysis, consolidation of information and identification of the criteria, (3) assignment of values, (4) dissemination of information; and finally (5) decision making. These stages are supported by models and theories of commercial intelligence. It is concluded that the criterias for the selection of surgical material suppliers of Chinese companies, was chosen by the MOORA method, because it is the one that synthesizes in 6 criterias, which are: cost, product quality, service, reliability, administration and organization, and technology. And it was concluded that the level of acceptance that would come to have this model would be 100% of a total of 9 representatives of companies that import veterinary surgical material in the city of Trujillo, in turn the representatives expressed the points where the model can contribute. Importers agree that the stages of the model are established sequentially. It is recommended to use the flowchart of the commercial intelligence model for its greater compression. And it is recommended to base the selection of the provider on objective and quantifiable criteria.
