Lippalatine clefts are congenital malformations that occur due to lack of coalescence in the embryonic facial tissues in formation. There is an incidence of 1 for every 700 live births in the world. The aim of this investigation is to determine the musculoskeletal characteristics and speech production of patients with cleft lip and palate. The type of study is simple descriptive, where literature was reviewed and an evaluation protocol was created, it was applied to 9 subjects, female and male, between the ages of 5 and 12 years. As a result, a higher percentage of children with transforamen fissure, oronasal breathing and with compensatory articulation of stop glotal and fricative-pharyngeal beat and with frequent articulatory errors in the sounds / s / and / r / vibrant were obtained.
