This investigation has a qualitative descriptive approach, which has as a main objective to present through the survey "Código País" on the implementation of good corporate governance and impact on financial results, including stock market parameters. The investigation used the tool previously built and validated by the financial superintendence of Colombia (Superintendencia financiera de Colombia), and which is mandatory response by all financial institutions. The population for this investigation are all banks that operate in Colombia at December of 2015 and watched by the financial superintendence of Colombia. The data obtained showed that banks with greater compliance with the "Código País ", or, in other words, that have good corporate governance, have better financial indicators; With this, it could imply an influence between the financial results and the compliance of the good practices of corporate governance. Based on the "Código País " survey, the control architecture with 83%, is the subject with the most outstanding compliance average of the Colombian banking sector. On the other hand, banks have a lower compliance feature in Corporate Governance in the topic of General Shareholders' Meeting. In the Colombian capital market, banks listed on the Colombian Stock Exchange currently have an average of 71% of compliance in the “Código País” survey tool against a "64%" of non-listed banks
