This research focus its intentions to identify the perceptions of the causes of labor turnover in private security companies in the city of Cusco. For this, was performed a qualitative investigation of the possible causes of labor turnover according to the perception of human resource managers of different private security companies in the city of Cusco. The research was based on the study of 12 companies that provide private security service in the city of Cusco. In addition to this, it has a validity through the inclusion of a question guide developed based on a collection of theories, the same that can be seen along the objectives, review of literature, the case studies and findings. The results show that security companies seem to perceive the causes of labor turnover as the theoretical basis of this study. In this context, we have identified the following causes (a) the responsibilities of the position expressed by dissatisfaction with the current position or the organization and personal motivation, (b) natural or environmental conditions of the workplace, (c) wages, benefits and incentives (d) organizational climate, (e) professional development, (f) company policies, and (g) the existence of attractive job offers in the market
