This research presents financial institution Ica Municipal Savings and Credit Bank's (CMAC Ica, as identified in Spanish) corporate operational diagnosis. It focuses on the analysis of the Credit underwriting department of the Credicompany product, an institutional landmark that represents, on average, 50% of the total of credit placements of the institution, with a net profit of more than S/ 8'389,636.51 for 2016. Furthermore, it describes organizational and operational characteristics; it approaches planning processes, the design, quality management, maintenance and the supply chain. Also, a strict and technical analysis is performed, and improvements are suggested that may increase the company's value proposition; thus, generating competitive advantages that will meet the expectations of the target financial market. Such actions will increase CMAC Ica's operational efficiency, through a new plant distribution at the unit of analysis selected (San Isidro branch), improvements in the planning together with the enhancement of the payroll, the implementation of a preventive scheduled maintenance that will maximize the productivity of the credit placements team and progress on supply chain management with the implementation of computer systems, that will generate substantial savings in the logistic costs, among others. By implementing the proposals, these will generate benefits and savings, and that for the first year they will reach the amount of S/ 2'717,571.00. This represents 6.23% of the gross profit of this business obtained in 2016, with an implementation cost in the amount of S/ 1’005,800.00. Additionally, competitive costs will be achieved in the market and a more productive and efficient human resource team, with a solid foundation for a sustainable growth; therefore, providing better financial services to its customers, at lower costs
