The purpose of this research is to measure the perception of the quality of the businesses within the commercial sector of the pharmaceutical products in the Junín region, underneath the framework of Total Quality Management (TQM) and through the use of the Nine-Factor Model TQM tool. It is expected, therefore, that this work will help improve the efficiency in managing the sector's quality factors. The research was carried out through a non-experimental quantitative approach with a transectional design, and a descriptive reach which managed to include a group of 112 pharmaceutical establishments out of a total of 150 companies, between the sixth and seventh months of 2014. These businesses were handed a 35-question questionnaire without any apparent sequence, structured internally into nine groups or quality factors: (a) senior management, (b) quality planning, (c) audit and quality assessment, (d) product design, (e) quality management of the supplier, (f) control and process improvement, (g) education and training, (h) quality circles and (i) focus on customer satisfaction. The obtained result was 3.86 in the Likert scale. This showed that the commercial sector of the pharmaceutical products within the Junín region operates with a partial compliance with the nine TQM factors. Four out of the nine factors have a medium/high level. In other words, they comply partially with the quality factors but with a growing trend: (a) senior management, (b) quality planning, (c) audit and quality assessment and (g) education and training. The internal blocks (a) senior management and (f) control and process improvement achieved results close to the average: 3.84 y 3.97 respectively, while the blocks linked to management and external dimensions (e) quality management of the supplier and (i) focus on customer satisfaction obtained 3.71 and 3.73 respectively. The challenges which the evaluated industrial sector must tackle are, therefore, evident. Integrating and developing the TQM Nine-Factor Model into the sector is recommended, as well as managing every establishment with a holistic perspective. In other words, having an integral vision of quality. In order to do that, it is necessary to get the suppliers and customers involved, as well as the role that each establishment develops internally
