Contemporary research relating to fear of success in sport suggests that for a better understanding of this construct should emphasize knowledge of the consequences of success. In this sense, the present study aims generally identify, describe and analyze the perceived consequences of success in a sample of young players from a club in Lima, Peru. For this, we applied a semistructured interview guide. The results suggest that the main consequences of success are greater motivation, increased confidence, well-being (positive emotions and sensations), recognition, constructive criticism, personal benefits, increased pressure, the "enlarged" and guilt. From the above, it follows that the consequences of success can be perceived both positively and negatively. While some of these findings are consistent with those reported in previous exploratory studies, others are novel, which suggest the construction of new instruments or adapting existing ones, as PSTAI (André & Metzler, 2011) in future measurements.
