The main object of this research is to determine the state of the concept of shared value through the measurement of eco-efficient practices in the companies of manufacturing materials for construction in Colombia. For this, a descriptive research was designed supported by the implementation of an instrument designed with base on the concepts of shared value and validated by experts in the matter. The companies considered in the sample are the main EMMCs in Colombia and cover 88% of the total market of the main construction inputs such as cement, concrete and stone (aggregates). The information was obtained from the Management Reports published by the companies for the years 2011 to 2015. In the results of the research, it was found that the companies focus their policies of management of eco-efficient towards the water resource, toward the consumption of energy and finally the control of the emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) through the substitution of fossil fuels. Eco-efficient practices were observed, which resulted in lower water consumption due to increased reuse of the input by 2%. For the energy input, the same behavior is not reflected since it increased by 11% per year to the implementation of practices for its reduction. Regarding the eco-efficient practices for the outputs (or exits), the main one is the replacement of fossil fuels by biomass with lower CO2 generation, however, the GHG generation increased by 6%, showing an area of opportunity in the implementation of practices to reduce them.
