The present work consists in the application of Strategic Planning as a model of analysis of the current situation of the Madre de Dios region having as initial premises the mission, vision and the code of ethics of it, in this way, after the respective internal analysis and external, you can have an interpretation of the current comprehensive conditions so that depending on it and the environment in which it is located, long-term objectives are designed to build different strategies, in addition to the previously set policies. Madre de Dios is a region of the Selva that currently bases its economic development on activities such as mining, agroforestry, forestry and commerce. However, one of the key elements that has not yet been exploited in its real dimension is found in tourism. Faced with this aspect, the Madre de Dios region has an enormous development potential which, duly implemented and promoted, based on the competitive value that lies in sustainable tourism - or also known as Ecotourism - can generate determining income that positions the region within the area in which it is fulfilling in this way with its motto: Madre de Dios, Peruvian capital of biodiversity.
