The aim of the study is to analyze the body and identity experience of 6 transmasculines subjects in Lima, delving into the tensions between body’s materiality and the construction of gender identity, within the framework of the transition processes. The transmasculine body is the place from which participants narrate their bodily experiences around masculinity and femininity. Therefore, for this purpose the methodological approach is qualitative, with semi structured interviews and body maps. The interviews sought to know the complex ideas, emotions and experiences around the body an identity. On the other hand, body maps pursued to delve into the subjectivity of bodily experiences through a technique that allows textualizing 'embodied semioticmaterial languages' (Silva, Barrientos and Espinoza-Tapia, 2013), usually rendered invisible with other research tools. For the information analysis, categories were created from the specific objectives of the study: 'Normalization discourses', 'Gender conceptions' and 'Bodily transits'. The participants' corporal experiences, although have in common a specific sociocultural context (patriarchal culture, cisheteronormative, colonized, etc.), and also have particular, diverse experiences, beliefs and environments.
