This thesis, which has been chosen in the area of transportation, specifically roads, reveals the minimum requirements that an area must have in order to build a road and thus facilitate communication in the surrounding areas. Our objective is to improve the road trafficability of the areas through the design and construction of a flexible pavement in the Los Cedros, Nueva Providencia and Los Abogados urbanizations of the city of Piura – Piura. This research is of an applied type, according to the contrast it is descriptive. Also during the process, different studies were carried out, such as the soil mechanics study, the traffic study, etc. Thanks to the study of soil mechanics and the placement of pits (4) in different points of the area, giving rise to the following conclusions, the soil in the study area is classified as poorly graded sand (SP), and has a CBR at 95% of 8.76; After that, when carrying out the traffic study with different vehicle counting points (3), it was determined that the entry point with the greatest influx is the one located on street 3, with an IMDa 3842, giving the following results from this : Total E.E. of 10017.868 and ESAL of 126227.83, considering that the design will have a 2-lane road, with 1 lane in each direction. When calculating the thickness of the pavement, 3 proposals were proposed, granted by the MTC, RNE and considering designs from other files and technical sheets; being that these 3 comply with the validation with the structural number (SN) of value 1.86; To determine the proposal to be considered in the design, an economic analysis was carried out, with the selected proposal being granted by the MTC (5 cm pavement thickness and 25 cm base layer). With respect to the geometric design, with regard to the elements of the road and their minimum widths, it was based on the RNE standard GH.020, and the storm drainage considerations were based on what was stated in the road manual. “Geometric design” of the MTC, in this way the proposed design of the roads provided in the project area will comply with what is indicated in the different standards related to the subject.
