The present study deals with the influence on the mechanical and hydraulic characteristics of permeable concrete, given by the gradation of the coarse aggregate. The characteristics that are most related to this type of concrete were analyzed, such as compression resistance and permeability. Coarse aggregate gradations of 3/4"", 1/2"" and 3/8” were used. The coarse aggregate that was used belongs to the Cerro Mocho quarry, located 25 km from the city of Sullana. Tests of the physical properties of the coarse and fine aggregate were carried out in the laboratory to be able to carry out the mix designs. According to what is provided by ACI 522 R-10 (Report on Pervious Concrete), the design criteria were chosen for the 3 mix designs; 10.00% fine aggregate, a w/c ratio of 0.36, a void percentage of 15.00%, 26.5% paste volume and a b/bo value of 0.93. The compressive strength, permeability index, void content and density were determined; through laboratory tests. The values obtained from the characteristics in the tests allowed us to analyze and compare the behavior of the draining concretes of the different gradations. It was determined that the draining concrete with a 3/8” gradation showed greater compression resistance with a average value of 194.25 Kg/cm2 at 28 days. The 3/4"" gradation concrete presented the highest permeability with a average value of 1.26 cm/s. Also, it was possible to determine that the density and void content are directly related to the characteristics of the draining concrete. As well as the analysis and Comparison of the cost in the production of each type of concrete
