Gestión de la información de las actividades científicas desarrolladas por el estado peruano en la Antártida.

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación es la primera aproximación que se realizó sobre las actividades científicas desarrolladas en la Antártida, teniendo como objetivo caracterizar la gestión de la información de las actividades científicas desarrolladas por el Estado peruano en este continente, en tal sentido, se consideró como parte de las dimensiones de la variable de estudio, la producción científica y la difusión de las actividades científicas. La investigación es de tipo cuantitativo y transeccional, donde se utilizó como técnica de recolección de datos el análisis documental cuantitativo, asimismo, se realizaron entrevistas a diferentes expedicionarios de las distintas organizaciones que pertenecen al Programa Nacional Antártico, con el fin de recabar información, la cual permitió contrastar y discutir los resultados obtenidos; cabe mencionar que para el presente trabajo no se planteó hipótesis puesto que las características de la gestión de la información se obtuvieron en el desarrollo de la investigación y no se pudieron establecer “a priori”. Finalmente, como resultado final se obtuvo que, a pesar de tener presencia activa y permanente en el Continente Blanco, de haber realizado centenares de trabajos de campo y de contar con un buque de investigación de primera línea, la difusión de las actividades científicas desarrolladas en la Antártida no se ha desarrollado de manera eficiente, puesto que no contamos con las suficientes herramientas como lo tienen los otros países de la región, además de no contar con disposiciones que regulen las formas de lo que se tiene que hacer para establecer un correcto flujo, desde el recojo de información de campo hasta su disposición final en una base de datos.

The present research work is the first approach that was developed on the scientific activities held in Antarctica, aiming to characterize the information management of the scientific activities developed by the Peruvian State in this continent, in this sense, the scientific production and dissemination of scientific activities were considered as part of the dimensions of the study variable. The research is quantitative and transactional, where the quantitative documentary analysis was used as a data collection technique, likewise, interviews were conducted with different expedition members of the different organizations that belong to the National Antarctic Program, in order to collect information, which allowed to contrast and discuss the results obtained; It is worth mentioning that for the present work no hypothesis was raised since the characteristics of information management were obtained in the development of the research and could not be established “a priori”. Finally, as a final result, it was obtained that, despite having an active and permanent presence in the White Continent, having carried out hundreds of fieldwork and having a first-line scientific research vessel, the dissemination of the products obtained have not been developed in an efficient way, since we do not have enough dissemination tools as other countries in the the region has, in addition to not having provisions that regulate the forms of what has to be done to establish a correct flow, from the collection of field information to its final disposal in a database.
