The objective of this research work is to propose a data governance and quality framework that allows controlling critical information assets in Innova Compañía de Seguros. The first chapter describes the current problems, detailing the background, the justification for the need for the project with the definition of general and specific objectives, assumptions and/or scope, and risks and/or limitations. The second chapter addresses the presentation and the theoretical, normative and conceptual basis that characterizes the companies and the context of the insurance field. In addition, multiple frameworks and regulations related to data management are incorporated and evaluated that will be used in the development of this research. The third chapter presents a complete view of the current situation of the company, providing detailed information about its internal and external environment, the challenges it currently faces, as well as the identification of problem areas related to the utilization, treatment, integration and quality of data and information. The chapter concludes by evaluating the economic impact and risks associated with the identified weaknesses for the company. The fourth chapter presents the proposal for the model to solve the described problem, designing the components of the Data Governance and Quality Framework that ensure quality, integration, traceability, metadata, and defining the indicators that guarantee compliance with the proposed model, including the responsible roles, templates needed for the correct functioning of the present methodology.
