Abstract: El presente estudio estuvo enfocado en determinar la relación entre felicidad y sentido de vida en un grupo de jóvenes voluntarios de Lima en coyuntura de
pandemia. El diseño fue no experimental transeccional correlacional. La muestra fue integrada por 103 jóvenes voluntarios, de ambos sexos, pertenecientes a una organización sin fines de lucro. El método de muestreo fue no probabilístico e intencional. Los instrumentos de medición de las variables fueron la Escala de la Felicidad de Lima (EFL) y el Inventario Sentido de la vida PIL Test. Se halló que existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre la felicidad, sus dimensiones y el sentido de vida. Con respecto a las medidas del efecto de la relación entre las variables, se encontraron medidas moderadas y bajas.
Además, se encontró que el mayor segmento de los participantes se ubicó en el nivel de felicidad con un 34% y medianamente feliz con un 25.2%; sin embargo, hubo un 19.4% de personas que expresó un nivel de infelicidad; con respecto a la variable sentido de vida, el mayor segmento de los participantes manifiesta tener presente el sentido de vida, siendo este el 68.9%, el 23.3% se encontró en una zona intermedia o indefinición; mientras que el 7.8% indicó falta de sentido de vida.
The present study was focused on determining the relationship between happiness and meaning of life in a group of young volunteers from Lima in a situation of pandemic. The design was non-experimental transectional correlational. The sample was made up of 103 young volunteers of both sexes, belonging to a non-profit organization. The sampling method was non-probabilistic and intentional. The instruments for measuring the variables were the Lima Happiness Scale (EFL) and the Meaning of Life Inventory PIL Test. It was found that there is a statistically significant relationship between happiness, its dimensions, and the meaning of life. Regarding the measures of the effect of the relationship between the variables, moderate and low measures were found. In addition, it was found that the largest segment of the participants was located at the level of Happiness with 34% and moderately happy with 25.2%; however, there was 19.4% of people who expressed a level of unhappiness; Regarding the variable meaning of life, the largest segment of the participants stated that they had the meaning of life in mind, this being 68.9%, 23.3% were in an intermediate or undefined zone; while 7.8% indicated a lack of meaning in life.
