In the last decade the world has identified a growing demand for non-traditional agricultural products due to recent changes in the tastes and preferences of consumers and customers to include in their basket more natural and healthy products. Perú, is a key player in Latin America that sells these products due to their nature, biodiversity and geographical wealth. However, other neighboring countries offer this advantage and may deprive the world market share for our non-traditional agricultural exports. The new globalized world scene in which there is greater exchange of currency between countries, the exchange rate has become an important factor to consider. That is why, it is important to determine the relationship between this factor and non-traditional Peruvian exports, to identify if exchange policies in the country, are an opportunity to create competitiveness against other countries in the international market. The world demand of the agro not traditional exports have increased in percentage terms from the year 2007 until the year 2014 in more than 55% and the agro not traditional Peruvian exports have presented a significant growth from 647 million dollars in the year 2007 up to 2132 million of dollars in the year 2014, being our principal buyer Estados Unidos, followed of Países Bajos. This scene shows the opportunity of Perú to export the products of this item; nevertheless, Chile is his principal competitor in Latin America and his exchange rate policy is more competitive with that of our country, which is a challenge for Perú.
