Most of the population in Peru lacks of identity and cultural awareness, however, retains a high interest in progress and integral development rescuing its cultural wealth and heritage for strengthening existing tourism and historical identity. The historical and archaeological value of Bandurria will contribute to the cultural flowering of future generations. The Bandurria architectural concept is based on the “sunken plaza” of the archaeological site, as the most important element in the set, which functioned as the main axis for the arrangement of the monumental sector. The Bandurria Site Museum and Research Center, replicates the concept of “sunken plazas”, as the main axis on which the project develops and hierarchizes sectors within the developed area. - “Plaza Mayor”: surrounded by the most important sectors of the project (museum, workshop area, library and multiple use rooms), which in turn brings together most of the public to let them know the main attractions of the place. - “Minor Plazas”: located along the main axis and its function is to receive visitors and specialists, so that the “Plaza Mayor” is for public use (access to tourists), and the “Minor Plazas” for private use (only for researchers and specialists). The proposed project will not only serve to show the mysteries of Bandurria, but to expose, conserve and restore parts and findings of the archaeological site.
