The purpose of this research was to determine the association between the evaluation of teaching performance and academic satisfaction in students from a private university in Lima. It was a substantive investigation with a quantitative approach, a non-experimental design and a correlational scope. The population and sample was framed in a census type, made up of 61 teachers and 1703 students. The data collection technique used was the survey, applying two instruments, a teacher performance evaluation sheet whose reliability test was 0.76 and the student's academic satisfaction survey whose reliability test was 0.97; both instruments of the author's creation. The descriptive results show that the highest prevalence rate observed in teaching performance observed by the evaluator was focused on strategic competence and that the highest prevalence rate in academic satisfaction was attitude. The inferential results in the testing of the general hypothesis show that there is a weak significant association between the evaluation of teacher performance and student academic satisfaction (Chi_Square = 10.34, P_value <0.05); Which means that the correlation is positive because as the qualification of the teacher performance increases, the level of satisfaction also; and weak because there is some dispersion in the results due to factors such as the age, maturity and study cycle of the students.
