The objective of this research is to analyze the conditions of institutional management in order to determine if they favor solidarity service-learning experiences in a private religious educational institution in the district of San Isidro in Lima. Qualitative research was conducted, at a descriptive level, using the ethnographic study as a method. The participants were members of the educational community, who were chosen through staff selection criteria such as years of experience in the institution or managerial responsibilities. In the case of the students, the criterion was experience in social work during their school years, forming a sample of students in the fifth year of secondary school. To validate the information collected and to make the results obtained more accurate, an interview with eight questions was applied to ten tutors, six members of the board of directors, and a focus group was conducted with twelve students. Similarly, a review of institutional documents was carried out to collect and analyze information that contributes to the objective of the research. The results allowed identifying that the members of the educational community identify some conditions propitiated from the institutional management, related to social work, as favoring the SSL methodology, however, in spite of being binding to the Institutional Educational Project (PEI) they show a weakened articulation with the development of the learning processes.
