The purpose of this thesis is to present the results obtained after the application of the "School Democracy" program to determine its effectiveness. This program was applied to fourth-year high school students of a State Educational Institution of metropolitan Lima. This research presents an experimental design of a quasi-experimental class, made up of two groups: experimental and control. The experimental group had a population of 15 students, to whom a pre-test was applied to identify their knowledge of political culture. Then a program was implemented based on the proposal by Peschard (2016), who proposes three dimensions: cognitive, affective and evaluative; which were worked using different methodological resources. Finally, the evaluation of the “School Democracy” program was carried out through the application of a post-test. To analyze the results was made a statistical comparison between the pre-test and the post-test, using parametric Shapiro-Wilk tests. This test allowed the validation of the working hypothesis to be validated and to confirm the effectiveness of the program in its three dimensions, by significantly improving the results of the experimental group at the end of the application of the program.
