The general objective of this research is to identify the level of language development in 5-year-old children, from nursery-school level classrooms, of I.E in Lima and Callao, in 2022. A bibliographic review was carried out about the variable language development, the concept of language, the types, phonological, semantic, syntactic and pragmatic aspects, evolution of language from 0 to 7 years of age, as well as the characteristics presented by children with language delay are described. Likewise, some intervention recommendations are mentioned to address and stimulate language, which the teacher can use within the classroom. This research has a quantitative approach, basic type, descriptive level and non-experimental transectional design. The research sample is made up of 32 students from the five-year-old classroom at nursery-school level (16 from Lima and 16 from Callao). The instrument used was the Navarra Oral Language Test - Revised PLON-R since with it the four aspects of language can be evaluated. The results showed that 40.6% (13) of the sample presented a normal level of development, followed by 31.3% (10) with a degree of delay and 28.1% (9) with a need for improvement. It is concluded that the majority of early-education children in the study sample have a normal level of language development.
