The present investigation developed the analysis of the seismic vulnerability of informal dwellings conformed by masonry system confined in the district of Moche, province of Trujillo. The Moche district has grown considerably in recent years, there is a large number of informal homes that their owners built without any professional advice, so this research was conducted in order to determine how vulnerable these houses are to a seismic event, basing on the standards such as the E-030 of seismoresistente design and the E-070 of confined masonry. This research is non-experimental because only the independent variable was observed, taking as sample 50 informal dwellings of the Moche district and the technique used is the Survey using the instrument Questionnaire for data collection, and with respect to data analysis , the descriptive statistics method was used. For the evaluation of the seismic vulnerability of the informal dwellings, in the first stage data collection card was applied, with which it was possible to have historical information that considers the quality of labor used in the construction, and structural information of the studied houses, such as the density of existing walls in both directions of the structures and the stability of the non-load bearing walls such as dividing walls, parapets and perimeter walls. These 3 factors were processed and the seismic vulnerability of the informal dwellings was determined. The results obtained were that the density of walls in the X direction was qualified as suitable for 9 dwellings, acceptable for 2 dwellings and inadequate for 39 dwellings; and with respect to the Y address, it was qualified as suitable for 45 dwellings, acceptable for 0 dwellings and inadequate for 5 dwellings. The stability of non-loadbearing walls was obtained as stable to 2 houses, some stable to 34 houses and all unstable to 14 houses. With respect to the evaluation of the workforce, 4 dwellings were obtained as good, 25 dwellings were regulated and 11 dwellings were poor. As a main conclusion, the dwellings of the Moche district have a seismic vulnerability of High category of 80%, average 12% and decrease by 8%, so the dwellings of the Moche district have a high degree of seismic vulnerability.
