This research study is developed at the National University of the Peruvian Amazon - University City Zungaro Cocha, in the area of Juvenile Research Center animals; Located 45 minutes from the city of Iquitos; likewise it is taken as a collection center to center Zungaro populated Cocha. The aim of the study was running a study on the type of household solid waste from the town of Zungaro Cocha center, derived as consequences of domestic activity. The study Zungaro Cocha community concludes that the generation of household solid waste is 0.044 kg / person / day (Per capita generation). The physical composition of household solid waste organic matter is the highest percentage with 98.98% and 0.012683% inorganic accounts and increased hazardous waste 0.002698 is highlighted. The diagnosis made in the community of Zungaro Cocha exhibits, among others the following features: • Lack of toilet culture and responsibility for the waste generated at the individual level and household. • Lack of economic, legal and promotion tools that motivate and promote citizen participation in processes of separation and recycling of solid waste. • incomplete and wrong to assimilate management primarily as a problem of the service, forgetting their environmental, social, economic and health components Vision.
