The present study of observational research of relational level, had like general objective: To determine the relation between the self-esteem and the motor coordination in students of volleyball activity of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon, second semester 2017. The study population was made up of N = 546 students, enrolled in volleyball activity in the second semester 2017; the design was stratified random sampling, with proportional allocation, with sample size of n = 224 students. The technique of data collection was the survey and it was two valid and reliable questionnaires. Results, 62.5% of the students were female, with an average age of 19.48 years, 45.5% have an average level of self-esteem and in the dimensions: safety, respect the criteria, stability, and emotional administration in the middle level with 69.2%, 62.5%, 74.6% and 47.3% respectively, the highlight is that 76.8% of students have a low level of confidence. On the other hand, 58.5% have a regular level of motor coordination, the general dynamic categories, manual oculus, pedic and manual dynamic. With respect to the hypothesis, there is a statistically significant relationship (p-value = 0.000 <0.05) between self-esteem and motor coordination in students of volleyball activity of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon, second semester 2017.
