The study was conducted in the native communities of ethnic Independence "cocamilla cocama" San Andrés and ethnicity "Boras" in order to determine the influence of the activities of subsistence use of natural resources on the quality of life of native communities (NPP), the NPP Independence has a total population of 260 inhabitants, 96 males, 90 females and 74 under 18 in 60 families. The CC.NN San Andres has 130 inhabitants, 47 males, 43 females and 40 children under 18 in 30 families. The educational infrastructure in the CC.NN Independence I.E.I presents 01 y 01 .IE.P, the CC.NN San Andrés, I.E.I has 01, 01 I.E.P y 01 I.E.S. The CC.NN construction lacks independence and health personnel and the CC.NN San Andrés has the necessary tools and personnel. Both communities believe that solid waste is a problem, however the CC.NN San Andrés also considers noise scares because wildlife. The species mostly families take advantage of the CC.NN Independence in productive activities are: 31% banana, boquichico 27%, 27% cedro, 32% añuje, 47% chicken, 32% mucura. In San Andrés CC.NN utilization by more representative families are: 48% yuca, 30% palometa, cumala 36%, 37% majás, 53% chicken, 28% malva. The resources used by both communities are intended for sale and consumption.
